My name is Susan Johnson aka Oldlace. I am 42 years old and I have had Crohn's Disease for 23 years now.

When I first got my computer in 1997 I decided to try my hand at building a web page.

I did some research on the internet and Crohn's Disease and it did not take me long to realize that there was plenty of technical pages with the "textbook" description of Crohn's Disease and its symptoms out there to read. But there were few and far between support pages for Crohn's. A place to visit and find a friend that has the same aches and pains that you do.

A place to see other people were going through the same thing.

Prior to 1997 I had never actually met another person with Crohn's Disease. So I thought, well I can try. It did not take long for my simple little page to begin growing and it continues to grow today.

Seems it was just the kind of page that people were looking for.

My page has been recongnized by the Crohn's Colitis foundation of America. It is supported by various medical sites.

I am also a Co-Liaison in the Geocities Community of HotSprings.

This is where my web page is located. As a Co-Liaison/Community Leader I enjoy helping other Community leaders and helping people to get there own webpages started.

Other interest that I have are crocheting, my favorites are the old time doilies hence my internet name oldlace.

I also have a rather large baseball card collection, that now I add to slowly usually by finding older cards at yard sales.

Mostly I enjoy meeting and talking to new people.

I enjoy the feeling I get that maybe I was able to help someone feel a little better about themselves and about having such and irritating disease to deal with everyday.
