Religion in Schools
Religion in Schools
Religion and education can be an explosive combination. Some people feel it's simply wrong to indoctrinate children. Others feel that religion is an essential part of our lives, our history, culture, politics and art, and to deprive children of religious knowledge could possibly leave them open to abuse by certain cults. So - are single-faith schools acceptable? Or, should all schools cover all major religions to enable greater understanding and acceptance in our modern world? If we do decide on a religious curriculum for our children, how should be go about it in a fair and objective way?
