Torah & Talmud Studies

The Torah and the Talmud provide the written foundation for Jewish belief and practice. But to the Jewish people, they are much more. They tell the story of the Jews’ journey from creation to present day through the exploration of genealogy, customs, beliefs and laws. They link the meticulously chronicled interpretations of the ancient sages with the traditions that define our many and often conflicting definitions of what it means to live as a Jew today.

This sub-section discusses all the written works that support Jewish practice, from the Tanakh to the Shulchan Aruch, (the Code of Law that defines how we eat), as well as contemporary legal decisions. We use authoritative sources and experts to explain Jewish texts and decisions.
