Dr Wendy A.M. Prosser is a freelance writer, editor and proofreader with over 16 years’ experience in the fields of medicine, science and technology.

After gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree and Doctorate in Zoology from the University of Oxford, she joined The Medicine Publishing Company Ltd (now an imprint of Elsevier Health Sciences) in 1994, working as a Staff Editor on medical education and marketing publications. In 1998, she was promoted to the role of Managing Editor of the journal Medicine, a post she held until she started her own editing and proofreading business in 2006.

Wendy began freelance writing in 2009, as a Contributing Writer for Suite101.com. She is now Topic Editor in General Medicine for Suite101 and a regular contributor to other sites.

She is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences with the Open University, specializing in Cosmology and Quantum Physics. She also writes fiction, and when she finds the time likes to blog on the freelance life, sport, writing and anything else that takes her fancy. She lives in Abingdon on Thames, a market town in Oxfordshire, with her husband and three cats.
